OSTIA
We went to Ostia, a small town outside of Rome. It's actually an archeological site from 1st century AD (we think). You get to see the whole town. You get to run around and jump on stuff. We got to see some sites that would not normally be open to the public.
This is a birds-eye view looking down off the top of what used to be the baths. It's a picture of me (Hannah), Silas, Henry and Jeremy (their dad).
This is Benny near an ancient fire station. You can see the tracks for the fire wagon wheels to come out of the garage.
We ate lunch on the steps of an ancient temple to Ceres.
This is the roof of what would have been an apartment building. The gate you can see is not part of what you could see in the first century AD (obviously).
This is Henry and me jumping over a giant crack in the ground.
I took these ones:
But Dad took this one.
